Training

Andrea always dreamt of becoming a horse trainer. Every time someone asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she always said "a horse trainer!". Andrea started working for trainers when she was 15 years old, and always helped with the "naughty" ones. When Andrea was 17, she got her first unstated horse, and worked alongside a trainer starting her horse. Andrea ended up getting 2 more unstarted horses within the next year, and bringing them along herself. Her one horse, she went on to compete in gymkhana, as well as jumpers. Her second horse has become a wonderful all around lesson horse. She continued training, and opened up her program to take on outside horses, helping owners with either very green babies, or troubleshooting problems. Andrea understands how important it is to let the horse have their own "voice", and works with the horse at their pace. Andrea continues to attend clinics, as she knows there is always more to learn, and more to add to her toolbox as each horse is an individual and not one training method will work for every horse. She also attended Pacific Coast Horseshoeing School to learn more about anatomy, biomechanics and the importance of quality and correct foot care. As they say, "No hoof, no horse". Andrea provides farrier services for all horses in her training program(if wanted by the owner, of course other farriers are welcome!).

Colt Starting

Andrea does not offer your usual "30,45,60,90 day" colt starting, as all horses are different and will progress at different rates. Horses are brought in, evaluated, she will discuss your goals for you and your horse and then a plan is formed to set you and your horse up for success. Monthly check ins with your horses progress and next steps of action will be discussed.

Full Training*-$1400/month

Specific Discipline Training

If you already have a horse that is well started, and you are looking to take them in a specific direction, Andrea can help with that as well. Jumping, barrel racing/gymkhana, cattle work and trail riding are all things she can help you with. Riding lessons are included in your training package to make sure that you are progressing with your horse.

Full Training+Lessons*-$1650/month

Half Training*-$875/month
